Photography for Boston Area Events

I picked up my mother’s camera when I was 10 and fell in love with the magic of photography and still love it. It’s an exciting combination of magic and science.

I have a BFA in Photography and part of an MFA, too, and studied photography in various schools. But what truly matters is the quality of the images and the vision. Oh, and that I’m easy to work with, too!

I’m a seasoned professional photographer. I’ll ensure you feel at ease during your portrait session or event. My aim is for you to relax and trust you’ll get high quality images.

I’ve photographed over 500 weddings /events + thousands of head shots. 

For events, I’ll capture the event and portraits with flair, in sharp clear photos.

For head shots, I direct subjects so you’re at ease, after discussing how you want to be seen. I’ll use a contemporary background I find on location (slightly out-of-focus), or a paper backdrop (we can discuss color). Light retouching is included.

What you’ll receive after an event, etc.: a link to view and download your high resolution images from a private web site which will be available for 30 days.  You can share the link for viewing the images on the site with family, friends, and colleagues. They can also buy images from the site.

Turnaround time is 1 business week. Faster turnarounds are available for a rush fee.

My rates depend on your event. Please tell me about the images you want to walk away with and I’ll quickly give you a rate.

Am I doing 15 corporate head shots, a solo head shot, covering a large event that may include group shots, covering a small event like a book launch or a special occasion party,  photographing a Bar Mitzvah or a wedding?

Head Shots for an individual can take 30 minutes to an hour, depending on what the subject wants (outfit changes, make up artist).

When doing head shots of various individuals on location, I’ll bring an assistant. Depending on the total number of subjects, each subject will take approximately 5 to 20 minutes to be photographed. The subject will get to choose several favorite images on site, if time permits. Light retouching is included on all final head shots.

As you can see, I’ll need information from you in order to give you a rate.

I accept payment via Stripe, Venmo, check or cash. If paying via check, photos will be released after check has cleared.*

Payment is due in advance of your event unless you’re hiring me via a corporation or a university. For some events (weddings and bar mitzvahs) a deposit of 50% is required to hold the date.

*If you have a corporate or university PO, let me know – I can arrange to receive payment in accordance within the institution’s payment structure, releasing the photos ahead of payment.
